In a tribal society, what the Chief says goes. He (or she) approves your marriage, gives you property for a home, and settles disputes. They are involved in every aspect of village life. They lead, and they can share the Way.
Working with these important people, Y-Malawi and the Chiefs Ministry is focused on new knowledge that Chiefs can share with their village.

One Chief named Phunzi, talked about how learning changed his life. “I am truly convinced that for so long we have been blinded by our traditions not to grasp what Jesus did on the cross. I, therefore make my personal commitment to turn to Jesus for salvation.”
